Join me and learn the ancient heritage craft of willow weaving in the magnificent surroundings of Castle Coole in a cosy room in the Grand Yard.

In this workshop you will learn how to make your very own basket that can be used for bread or fruit or anything you fancy. It will look great as part of any table setting. You will learn traditional weaving techniques to construct your basket. We will first weave the base of the basket, then stake up, then weave the sides where we will create incorporated handles. We will then finish off with a beautiful border. I will guide you through each step with easy to follow instructions in a fun relaxed atmosphere. You will have a great day in a wonderful setting learning an ancient craft and having your own crafted willow basket to take home with you.

£75 pp. All materials and tools are provided.

Please bring your own lunch with you or there is an onsite cafe and shops nearby. Tea, coffee and biscuits are available and included in the cost of the workshop.
